Q. What do you think of my domain sale letter?

This is an email that I send out, when trying to sell a domain.

What would you change?

I like to offer a fixed price.

Comments?

Hi.

I am selling the Web domain Cxxxxxx.COM for $149 (US).

That's a great domain at a fantastic price:

• This domain is great for an email address like your-name@cxxxxxxx.com or a business website like http://cxxxxxx.com

• Single word COM domains are almost all taken. This is a golden- opportunity to get a quality domain.

• Already have a website? This domain can be forwarded to your existing site.

How do domain purchases work? I will accept PayPal for this domain. The domain transfer process takes about a week. Alternatively, I am more than willing to use an escrow service, like Escrow.com, and will split the $25 escrow fee with you.

Is this a good price? My business is to acquire valuable domains and offer them to website owners, like you, at a reasonable price. If you do some research, you'll find that single-word COM domains often sell for hundreds or thousands of dollars. You're getting a great deal on this domain, because I am motivated to sell it. But my price is firm.

Want to think about it? I am offering this domain to more than one buyer. The first person to accept the offering price will get it. There can only be one owner for this domain, so time is of the essence.

Send email or call with your offer or questions.

Sincerely,

my impression was that English was not your first language- although there weren't any blaring grammatical or spelling mistakes - I don't know why, can't put my finger on it. Just an impression
I agree it's a little long - but I do like this phrase : I am offering this domain to more than one buyer. The first person to accept the offering price will get it.

Let us know how successful you are with it!
